Schenck Farms and Greenhouses Co.

The Schenck family operation takes credit as the grand-daddy of them all, with roots that go back to the 1800’s, and a greenhouse that dates from 1927. This 200 acre farm is now run by a third generation that owes their beginnings to great-grandfather Louis, a six foot three inch German immigrant who began gardening because he enjoyed eating.

Great-grandpa liked to eat, but the next generation enjoyed flowers. One of the major crops is the dependable Geranium, a flower that great-grandpa’s son brought in during the 1950’s, a time when geraniums were difficult to find. Staunchly conservative, changes are made only after making sure they make sense and are viable. Holland Park values the dependability of Schenck Farms and Greenhouses.
